Rivertrees Country Inn is a small country estate set among lush natural gardens on the Usa River in Tanzania, halfway between Arusha and Kilimanjaro airports. A former coffee farm beneath the imposing summit of Mount Meru, Rivertrees retains the beautiful arbors once used to shade the coffee bushes from the strong African sun. Picture a naturally lush oasis in East Africa, a beautifully restored old coffee plantation farmhouse nestled between two majestic mountains with spectacular views of Kilimanjaro, a mumbling stream running beneath huge shade trees, and you have Rivertrees Country Inn. Combining Old-World ambience, rustic African elegance, excellent cuisine and personal service, Rivertrees is a magical place. Situated in natural gardens, the original farmhouse, stables and coffee factory were converted into beautiful accommodations, each with en suite bathroom and private sitting area. The swimming pool is located amidst lush vegetation near the river and allows guests to relax to the sounds of the river. The restaurant and lounge are set in the old-style barn and feature wooden tables and chairs, a fireplace and elegant dishes to delight your palate. There is also an open-air barbecue restaurant where grilled meats are the focus. Riverside al fresco dining is also available.
