Ngurdoto Lodge features seven spacious yet cozy guesthouses built in the traditional Meru style of round rooms with conical thatched roofs. Each cottage has modern, comfortable furnishings, en suite bathrooms and views of lush forest or mountain summits. Each guesthouse sleeps two adults. One larger unit with central lounge and fireplace is ideal for families or friends traveling together. There are also two small en suite guest rooms on the upper level of the main lodge building. The on-site restaurant serves delectable fare incorporating fresh produce from the lodge’s own vegetable garden. Enjoy the natural rock swimming pool or relax with a drink on the veranda amid tranquil, bird-filled gardens and vistas of the snowy dome of Kilimanjaro, 31 miles away. Arusha National Park, right on the doorstep, is home to an abundance of wild animals. Optional excursions are available to nearby farms, markets and Wameru villages, offering insights into tribal life and traditions. Coffee plantation tours and walking safaris with the Masai living nearby are also among the many activity options for guests.
