Situated in the heart of the private Lewa Wildlife Conservancy, guests can be sure to see black and white rhinoceros and the unique northern five species, included beautiful reticulated giraffe, endangered Grevy's zebra, and gerenuk, as well as big cats and incredible bird life.
The Lodge
Kifaru, named from the Swahili word for rhino, is a magical lodge nestled on a hilltop in the middle of the beautiful Lewa Wildlife Conservancy in Kenya. Kifaru can comfortably accommodate up to 12 guests in high style. Each bedroom is situated in a spacious private hut, or "banda". Every room features capacious wardrobes and comfortable sitting and writing areas. The en suite bathrooms have generous shower areas and the master banda has a bath tub and outside shower. Guests convene in a spacious central building that houses the dining and sitting rooms, with a fully-stocked bar, two large fireplaces and plenty of places to curl up with a book or conversation. A covered outside terrace, furnished with numerous comfortable sofas and armchairs, provides a place for al fresco dining and a great vantage point from which to watch the many phases of the setting sun. A short walk along a path that lights up at night brings guests to the heated infinity swimming pool, next to a pool house with sitting, dining and bar area, massage rooms and shower facilities.
