The House of Waine, located in the serene suburb of Karen on the outskirts of Nairobi, was originally built as a lavish private estate. Later acquired by a local family, the elegant property was carefully refurbished, resulting in the unique boutique hotel that exists today. The stately home offers guests an authentic experience of personalized African hospitality with individually designed rooms, modern amenities and traditional Kenyan charm.

Our Expert Says

The House of Waine offers an out-of-the-ordinary stay in Nairobi! Originally built in the 1970s as a luxurious private estate, it's now a unique boutique-style lodging. A special advantage is that it is located in the peaceful wooded suburb of Karen, near Nairobi but outside the noise and hustle-bustle of the city proper.
