Kuro Tarangire Camp is situated in a location that was home to one of the very first camps in the park and one of the most sought after spots. The camps is far south, seeing few day tourists, situated in a grove of acacia and kigelia trees on the Tarangire River, along which wildlife moves, and ideal for guided walks. With just six tented, thatched rooms, Kuro is a little slice of seclusion in the wild.
The Camp
Kuro Tarangire is a small, stylishly simple camp situated in a quiet, secluded setting surrounded by fantastic walking territory and within easy reach of all the best wildlife areas. The camp consists of just six airy thatched tents, each with an en suite bathroom, private veranda and comfortable interior space. The beds are draped in mosquito netting, and your private deck has safari chairs, perfect for watching the sunrise with a cup of tea or coffee before setting off on your morning game drive. The central lounge and dining areas are cozy and open, the perfect place for gathering together or meeting like-minded travelers. Wildlife is free to move past the camp, so you may even be able to experience an armchair safari from the lounge.

Wildlife Viewing & Activities
Tarangire National Park is a less-known safari destination that boasts massive herds of buffalo and elephant in the dry season, giant baobabs and plenty of resident wildlife year-round. Kuro Tarangire is situated in an area of the park that is great for walking, day and night wildlife drives, and is well known for its frequency of animals moving along the river to drink. Kuro is also in a great position for access to the Silale Swamp area, which attracts many elephants. The bird life here is also impressive with 550 recorded species, and the largest number of breeding species anywhere in the world! Activities include day and night game drives, guided nature walks and observing whatever animals pass through camp.
