The first thing we did when we got our bags unpacked was go for a swim in the pool! I loved the wide open grounds at the Plantation Lodge. We sat under a tree and read books before joining our group in the dining room for dinner. What a treat! The food was superb, full of fresh vegetables from the local gardens. Avocado trees were everywhere. The front desk was very helpful when I couldn't find my glasses, they sent some staff out to search the grounds and eventually came back with them from poolside. They felt like friends when we left.
