The rooms/chalets here are among the finest in Kenya! Fantastic views of the valley and you have privacy to sit on your deck or even shower in the open air overlooking nature. The game drives were private also, and we saw great stuff--perhaps not as much on the private land as we did in Samburu, but there were zero other vehicles and the experience was tremendous!!!! (The local Samburu staff=fantastic!)The reason for the four versus five stars was that the ambiance of the main area gave a feel of being too fancy, sort of like a futuristic lodge. Also, a cigarette butt on the ground next to the fireplace sat there for 2 1/2 days of our stay. Maybe too picky but where was management?
