Review For Jack’s Camp

Sidebar_jacks_1
I visited Jacks during the dry season to experience the pan and see meerkats. Both were wonderful, especially the meerkats. I found the staff at Jacks to be stuffy, arrogant, and inflexible compared to the 5-6 other camps where I've stayed in Southern Africa. The food was mediocre, the public spaces unwelcoming, and the grounds just average. If you go, limit your stay to 2 nights, and spend the rest of your time elsewhere.

Thank you for your insightful review. Jack's Camp guides and staff seem to have improved significantly in the last five-odd years, and the post trip comments we have gotten are filled with notable compliments to the staff. Certainly, the Jack's Camp experience is not for everyone – especially those who are not keen to explore the smaller game, desert-adapted species and a desert environment, so we don’t recommend it carte blanche. However, we do think this experience makes for a wonderful contrast to the game-rich areas of Botswana, and the fresh staff share a passion for the area.
