Review For Kafue Nat'l Park

I don't think many people really know this place, it's off the beaten track...yet I had one of my best safaris here. Imagine pulling up under a tree with 5 sleeping lions hanging off the branches above you. Wow! It was the very end of the season, and we quite enjoyed watching thunderstorms roll in across the plains. We saw huge herds of buffalo, great cheetah on the open plains (not too different from being in Kenya!), wildebeest, zebra, herds of a local antelope called a puku, migrating flocks of maribou storks, and local fisherman who knew our guide. It's a national park, but there were literally no other vehicles that we saw for 3 days. A unique experience that not many people have.
