Review For Gorilla Forest Camp

What a lovely place to rest after a Gorilla trek. The Gorilla Forest Camp is a beautiful safari-style camp where they strive for excellence and nothing less. You sleep in individual bungalow structures that mimic the look of a tented camp. The bathroom area is open to the forest sounds yet privet from other guests and forest creatures. I noticed two minor issues. One problem I had during my stay was with the temporary power arrangement used in the bathroom. If you need to use electricity, you need to radio a staff member to turn on a generator near your tent. A slight inconvenience but I was a little late to dinner because of it. The second was breakfast. If going on the morning gorilla treks, the early breakfasts left something to be desired. It just didn't compare to how good the other food was...food at later breakfasts was up to par. I really enjoyed how spacious the tents were. It left room to spread out and unpack for a few days. The staff were all great. It's the sort of place where they will walk you to and from your room just to help hold your flashlight. The open bar was a nice touch. Nothing like getting a nice cold beer after a long day of hiking in an "impenetrable forest."
