Review For Leleshwa Camp (OLD)

We spent several days here - the owners are great and their young son is bound to be a future guide. This is not a super-high-end camp, but I liked the rustic feel which made me feel closer to and more part of the Africa bush. The wildlife walks were particularly informative and I even got a chance to try throwing a Maasai spear - it's not easy! They also setup a visit to a local Maasai village which felt very authentic - we walked in with herds of goats, chatted with the locals (via interpretation), and enjoyed seeing the kids at the local school.
One special treat was a owlet that would roost/sleep on a tree just outside the common area - the Staff provided a fun challenge to us to find the owlet each morning. The area around the camp is a private reserve so we had this all to ourselves. Food was great and the baked goods were the best on the trip - hats off to their baker!
