The Camp
Location: Khwai Private Reserve, Okavango Delta, Botswana
Number of Tents: 7
While intimate with just seven spacious tented suites, Tuludi is laid out in a horseshoe shape, giving every guest a sense of privacy, overlooking the surrounding floodplains. Each massive suite is raised high off the ground on a wooden platform and has a tall, airy, pitched roof, draped in light canvas. A spacious sitting area flows into the bedroom, and the private en suite bathroom features both indoor and outdoor showers and a bathtub for the ultimate relaxation in the wild. Private decking gives you the best front-row views. The suites are all connected by winding boardwalks, which link you to the main area—a raised structure with a balance of quirky, stylish design and perfect views of the surroundings. The thatched, open-air bar and dining room spill onto a sitting deck strewn with cushions. There is a treehouse library, elevated 12 feet into the boughs of the trees, a fire pit and a swimming pool for midday dips to rinse of the dust.

Wildlife Viewing & Activities
The Khwai Private Reserve covers more than 494,000 acres of pristine wildlife habitat in the heart of the Okavango Delta. The floodplains surrounding Tuludi harbor elephant and buffalo by the herd, zebra, giraffe, impala, and predators such as lion, leopard, cheetah, hyena and wild dog. Drawn to the water sources of the area, both the Khwai River and the fingers of waterways spreading out from the delta when it's in full flood, wildlife inhabits the both the plains and forests and can be viewed from open 4x4 vehicles, on foot with a qualified walking guide, and by air if you opt to fly in or out by helicopter. As for location, the reserve is bordered by the world-famous Moremi Game Reserve to the south, and the vast Chobe National Park to the east. Together the three reserves are part of the greater Okavango Delta World Heritage Site. And within this private area, you can expect to see animals without crowds of people or vehicles, enjoying the most exclusive and wild safari.
The Okavango Delta is a year-round wildlife viewing destination, with the peak mammal viewing in the dry winter between June and October and fantastic birding all year. The below chart shows major wildlife sightings. Other typical sightings may include small mammals, such as jackals, foxes, caracal and serval, and a wide variety of birds and reptiles. Exact sightings will depend on weather and wildlife movements and can vary from camp to camp, since many camps are located on islands.
