Selinda Explorers Camp features four vintage-style safari tents, each with en suite bathroom. In an effort to rekindle the magic of a proper expedition camp, hot and cold water are provided in large jugs on demand for your copper vanity, flush toilet and a bucket shower that is enclosed at the sides but open to the stars above. And should the hopeless romantic in you prove too hard to resist, brass hipbaths can be portered to a nearby sandbank on the edge of the Selinda Spillway for a spectacular soak unlike any you've ever experienced before. The stylish central dining tent features a family-style table and romantic brass chandeliers and lanterns. Vibrant rugs and floor cushions create a cozy space to share safari stories over a nightcap or dessert.

Wildlife Viewing & Activities

Selinda Explorers Camp is located on a remote stretch of the Selinda Spillway, close to the heart of the private 320,000-acre Selinda Reserve. With the wildlife viewing activities focused on guided walks, canoe trips and open-vehicle drives, this pristine landscape is a wildlife hotspot that is home to huge herds of elephant and buffalo. In addition, lion, wild dog, sable and roan antelope are all spotted on a regular basis. And because Selinda Explorers Camp focuses on walking, you will be seeing the small, incredibly interesting things often missed from vehicles.

The below chart helps to illustrate major wildlife sightings often experienced in the Linyanti Reserve adjacent to the Chobe National Park. This area is well known for elephant herds, which are at their peak in the drier months of July to October, and it's a great location to track wild dogs and see lion. A variety of other mammals, birds and reptiles may be seen as well. Exact sightings will depend on weather trends and wildlife movements.
