The Hotel

Leeu Estates, an exclusive five-star boutique hotel with 17 luxuriously appointed rooms and suites, sits centrally within 168 acres of vineyards, landscaped gardens and endemic fynbos vegetation in the Franschhoek Valley. Located between the mountainside and river, just minutes away from the village of Franschhoek, it is the ideal setting for an elegant and sophisticated hideaway. The meticulously refurbished 19th century Manor House has six rooms and suites with two more rooms adjacent to this, and the remaining rooms and suites are located in spacious cottages among the gardens, oak trees and vineyards. Each room and suite is filled with customized architectural detailing and textures in a calm color scheme. Each features curated artwork and sculptures from various countries, luxurious marble bathrooms and some with terraces and fireplaces, all with idyllic vineyard and mountain views. A wellness sanctuary comprises a spa and gym offering massage and holistic treatments. The spa, designed by celebrated Spanish architect Tomeu Esteva has three treatment rooms, a hair and nail salon and a 49-foot infinity pool. The fully equipped gym also offers yoga. Dining is an experience, with a culinary team making innovative cuisine. All-day menus are available showcasing local organic, ethical and sustainable ingredients, and pairing with fine South African vintages. Other dining options include the new La Petite Colombe, established by the culinary team of the famous La Colombe restaurant, as well as a craft beer microbrewery called Tuk Tuk and Franschhoek's first authentic Indian restaurant, Marigold.
