Having the exclusivity of a private reserve, where you have the privilege of walking and viewing nocturnal animals on nighttime wildlife drives while seeing very few other travelers, as well as the exclusivity of private accommodations just for your group is unparalleled. Wildlife Viewing & Activities

As dawn breaks over the African bush, a gentle tap on your door will wake you to the pleasures of a new day. Your ranger will discuss what you hope to see that day over fragrant tea or coffee and morning biscuits or rusks. Set out in an open 4x4 safari vehicle in the company of a ranger and tracker team, who will attempt to track your favorite animals. Explore Kwandwe's diverse terrain in search of cheetah, black rhino or elephant. Another drive begins in the late afternoon and lasts until after dark, when spotlights are used for a glimpse into the nocturnal bush life. Spot the rarely seen porcupine, aardwolf or aardvark. Enjoy sundowners in a scenic location as the sun slowly sinks beneath the horizon. Walks and child-specific activities are also available, and you have the flexibility of a private safari guide and vehicle throughout your stay.

The Eastern Cape's most common large mammal and predator sightings are illustrated in the chart below. Because each of the private game reserves of the Eastern Cape is fenced and unique, there may be some variations. Other typical sightings may include warthogs, baboons and monkeys, a variety of birds, and small carnivores such as jackals and caracals. Exact sightings will depend on the actual reserve you are visiting.
