Jaci's Safari Lodge features eight en suite, canvas and thatch tented suites, each decorated in vibrant colors and African textures. Each of the exclusive suites has been designed with comfort and relaxation in mind. Each suite is home to a large mosaic bath, a private outdoor shower and a suspended viewing deck from which to watch warthogs rolling in the mud or tree squirrels darting through the foliage. With thatch roofs, low stone walls and canvas panels that roll up, the eight spacious tented suites let the outside in. The suites are equipped with underfloor heating to ensure that you are comfortable during the chilly winter months as well as air conditioning and a ceiling fan to keep you cool during summer days. For families, the Nare Suite or Safari Suite offer the perfect venue. These two exclusive suites sleep families of six or eight and feature a private plunge pool and deck—a wonderful shared space for families on safari together.

Wildlife Viewing & Activities

Madikwe Game Reserve is one of South Africa's prime safari destinations. A malaria-free area, the reserve is home to more than 60 mammal species including the Big 5 (lion, leopard, buffalo, rhino and elephant) and well over 300 resident and migrant bird species. The reserve's rich diversity of vegetation, unique topography and wilderness and incredible diversity of wildlife and birds make it a wildlife enthusiast's paradise. In addition to boasting sought-after African species such as lion, buffalo, leopard, elephant and rhino (both black and white), the malaria-free Madikwe Game Reserve is also home to hippo, giraffe, wild dog, hyena (spotted and brown) and cheetah. Of these, the cheetah, wild dog, brown hyena and black rhino are the most endangered species. Activities revolve around morning and afternoon wildlife drives that can go until after dark, as well as seasonal walking opportunities.
