Travel to Mashatu Game Reserve in September

September is a month of contrasting weather at Mashatu and marks the end of the dry, winter season. The end of the month can bring light rain. The landscape is dry, and winds continue to blow from August to October. Temperatures become warmer, reaching into the upper-90's at times and staying cool but comfortable in the evenings. Many trees begin to blossom with spring approaching, and this draws baboons and other animals that have made it through the sparse winter. Wildlife drives may begin slightly earlier to avoid the mid-day heat.
