Mashatu and MalaMala Wildlife Safari

The Mashatu Game Reserve, within the southernmost reaches of Botswana, and the venerable Sabi Sand Game Reserve in South Africa's Greater Kruger Park are names that are synonymous with some of the best wildlife viewing in Africa. These close reserves, along with the world-famous Kruger National Park, comprise the heart of Southern Africa’s extraordinary safari country. It is genuine wilderness, and home to the famous Big Five and multitudes more. You won’t believe how much you can see in a just a week!

This trip starts in Johannesburg every Sunday and is subject to availability for your requested dates. This is an independent, custom safari that can be extended to other camps and locations.

Mashatu Game Reserve

Mashatu is a private wildlife sanctuary within the Tuli Game Reserve on Botswana’s southernmost boundary abutting the edge of South Africa. Famed for its sweeping skies and giant baobab trees, Mashatu is aptly known as the “Land of Giants,” protecting Africa’s largest and tallest mammals, largest cat, largest antelope, largest and heaviest flying birds, and massive baobab trees. Night drives reveal bat-eared fox, hunting leopard, grazing hippo, elusive aardwolf and more.

Searching for a truly intimate and authentic safari experience? Look no further than Mashatu Tent Camp, in the pristine 75,000-acre Mashatu Game Reserve, the ‘Land of Giants.’ This is the Africa of your childhood dreams writ large: big skies, wide-open spaces, and really big animals. Accommodating just 16 guests in eight comfortable, classic safari tents, the only thing that isn’t big at Mashatu Tent Camp are the crowds.

Sabi Sand Reserve
