Cape Town
Days 1–3
Located at the Southern tip of the African continent where the Atlantic and Indian oceans meet, Cape Town and the Western Cape are strikingly beautiful. At the foot of Table Mountain, the city of 3 million is a charismatic blend of cultures, renowned for its scenic setting, creative cuisine and world-class local wines. Outside the city, enjoy spectacular beaches, sheer sea cliffs along the Cape of Good Hope, and wildlife encounters from penguins to sharks.
More Quarters Residence
More Quarters Residence is a private 4-bedroom house in the heart of Cape Town's charming Gardens neighborhood. This residential area is just a 5- to 10-minute drive from well known sights such as the V&A Waterfront and Table Mountain, but it offers a completely private respite from the bustle of the city. The luxury residence has full housekeeping and concierge services and offers an ideal location for small families.
The Great Karoo
Days 4–6
The Great Karoo comprises the hidden heart of South Africa, sprawling across 150,000 square miles of the country’s interior. It’s a vast landscape of open range, high rocky escarpments and varied habitats from plateau grasslands, savanna, thicket and semi-arid plains. Rare species such as aardvark, Cape mountain zebra, cheetah and rhinoceros are frequently on view during open 4x4 vehicle drives and walking safaris.
Samara Manor House
Samara Manor House is a private bush home, reserved exclusively for small groups and families of four to eight guests. The experience of having a fully private safari with your friends and family is unparalleled, and yet very attainable for small groups. The stately house features four en suite bedrooms, a private lap pool, dining room, living room and full staff for the ultimate home-away-from-home while on safari.
Eastern Cape
Days 7–9
Wrapping around the southeastern coast of South Africa, the Eastern Cape is a wonderland of diversity. From the arid west with its broad vistas, mountains and fantastic cheetah habitat to the lush forests and grasslands of the east, this malaria-free region abounds with 500 miles of coastline, seven different biomes, more than 3,500 endemic plant species, and South Africa’s “Big Seven” (lion, leopard, buffalo, elephant, rhino, whale and great white shark).
Kwandwe Melton Manor
With sweeping views of the Afromontane forests, Melton Manor at Kwandwe is a contemporary frontier farmhouse with a modern touch. This sole-use safari villa, where the smallest detail of your stay is planned according to your specific wishes, is perfect for family holidays. The welcoming four en suite bedrooms are cleverly designed around the central courtyard and its large, inviting swimming pool, and your private tracker and ranger team are on standby for wildlife drives, walks and picnics.
